I know exactly what you are talking about. My grandson Thomas has the same bond with my husband. He calls him Chappa, because he never managed to say Grandpa when little. Brice is really a cute little boy and it is so easy to so the bond between him and his Bumpa.

I like especially the close and personal approach here with the tight framing. The problem is that your camera has focused on your husband leaving Brice a bit soft. In my opinion it should be the other way around, or of course both being sharp. The best way to achieve this is by using manual focus or step back a bit when you take the photo and crop later.

The exposure is however very good taking good care of the skin tones. Even with a few comments I think this is all together a charming and well taken shot.

The biggest hurdle I have as a photographer is that I tend to rush to capture a moment in time ...something that really touches me some how! On the plus side I have some great memory photos but on the negative side I have some focus issues! I need to work on it=) Thanks again for the tips and review=)

What a joy to see.
composition 6 just enough of grandpas head to see some expression of his as well
focus 6 everything nice and crisp
color 6 very natural looking
light 5.5 boys face just a smidge too bright but very nice
POV 6 my eyes were drawn right to their smiling eyes
What a great shot especially with how fast little kids move around. Congratulations.

When I saw the title of this one,it took me back in time to when my grandfather was alive.I have not heard "bumpa" since I lost my bumpa in the early sixties.Your family photos will be a legacy of love.The love in those little eyes just shines Lili and one would have to be dead not to smile when they see this.It's so wonderful to see a close knit family like yours and I am enjoying every minute of it.Thank you so much for sharing these times~

Thanks so much for the very sweet and kind comments! I am very blessed to have the family that I do! We loved being parents to our 7 kids and all the foster kids and daycare over the years but being Nana & Bumpa is the icing on the cake=) Thanks again my friend=)

Thanks so much Doris! We have all the grandkids while the parents are working so we are blessed to see them most everyday during the week! We do tons of family stuff on the weekends so we are blessed to spend tons of time together! Thanks so much again=)
