Thank you for being on this site and for sharing your life experiences, your belief, your culture, the beauty of your land with us, whether through photography as you have here or through the colourful art work you put up ...the colours always echoing the colours that surround you in Bombay.

This image, I personally find intriguing for I too was in Rishikesh for the Kumba Mela festival and was escorted by the military (thanks to Swami Veda Bharati) to a special seating area by the Ganges.

Thank you again for entering this contest and as far as your photo goes, it is very much a human interest image and my eyes have enjoyed the journey across your canvas.

each community/ village has its own flag. Kind of identification! The boats carry people from one bank to another to help them take the dip if one place is crowded.I appreciate your nice review. Thank you so much for your support. Glad you liked it.

Yes. In northern part of India in Feb in winter (Indian winter!:)

What an interesting picture and story!!

I wish the photo would have been a bit more in focus... or even more out of focus --with a software program.

I log how all the people are colorful and in the foreground! The flags on sticks are great! Perfect muted background!

I had no idea what the contest was about but I'm pretty sure this would come much closer to the requirements than anything I might have. A remarkable scene. I like the flags which seem to be celebratory. Very nice colors and excellent cropping.
