I also have captured quite a few bee photos this year and I have to say this is a great capture. Perfect plant to catch it on with the purple complementing the bees yellow and black.

A classic shot of a bee feeding on lavender. Good DOF and nice focus showing all the hairs cleanly. The angle you have taken this and framed works very well. The green background enhances the image nicely.
