Nice capture Mary! Nice exposure handling the white. You managed to get a nice clear capture of this Hover fly. When shooting insects or flowers you need to lower your F/stop..f/22 is very high. I try to keep it to f/5 or lower.
You did a fine job and you are well on your way girl!😉

Great capture! Great clarity, lighting and frame. Love the soft white b/g with that nice reflection. Really nice details shown on the fly's body and wings. The yellow tip adds just the right touch of color. Very nice job!

Love the shadow on your little friend. Good focus and frame. The f22 is a much smaller f-stop than you really need but turned out pretty nice.

Very nice macro of the little hover fly resting on the center tip of the flower. Very sharp and it shows the detail so well Mary. The macro world is a lot of fun and I need to get out and take macros more often. Excellent photo and I love the shadow of the fly on the white petal of the lily. Just Excellent!
