A very interesting tree and that's what I understand it that you can take the bark (cork) off and it will regrow. Sure does have an neat texture and is a very interesting tree. Interesting to see where the cork comes from that we all use. Good photo Mary and a nice nature shot.

I love textures and this one is very unusual. I like the part of the tree that you captured, the divide at the top really adds character. Nice framing and focus. And the slight blur of the trees in the background was a good choice.

I really like how you did not take a typical approach on photography a tree. Some people can be so stereotyped. "Oh it is a tree lets back up and get the whole thing" sometimes the beauty is in just part of the tree. Great job!
