The composition, tight cropping, AND loveliness "distracts." She is obviously absorbed in what she's doing... and oblivious to the photographer!

A lovely portrait with nice colors and excellent skin tones. I might consider cropping out the right side to eliminate the background altogether. Good luck in the contest.
