Wonderful drawing that show how excruciatingly painful the art of dance must be. The details and use of light and shadow bring this piece to life.

Thank you for showing the technique of toe dancing. I have always admired those that could do this. Your art work is exceptional and the detail, shadowing and light are very good. Thank you for sharing.

What a nice work. weird looking toes though. wonder how the toe is so strong.

Thanks Doris. The four toes are bent backwards hence the nails aren't visible and I belive ballet dancers have to practice this from a young age to develop the strength. I've tried to do it and it's physically impossible! :)

A good-looking and interesting image here,Raoul! I find human feet to be very challenging to draw ( I've drawn hundreds of human figures over the last forty years but I've only included their feet in the views about a dozen times! :) ) so I'm always impressed when I see them drawn as wonderfully as the pair you've presented to us in this image!
A Great Show,my friend!
( The uploaded image might look a bit too shadowy And/or unfocused but sometimes that can't be helped! It doesn't distract from my enjoyment of the image at all! :) )
