WOW! I absolutely love this work of art. the colors are brilliant and the entire piece has a supernatural feel to it. You can see the fear in her eyes. 'They are out there!" fantastic talent.
good luck in the contest, but this would be my vote for sure

Yep, you have won it once again! Love everything about this piece-creative and over the top good! What else can one say-the piece is just stellar! LOVE the little light on the bottom left trailing off toward the subject, as if leading the viewer to her ! jean

HOLY CRACKERJACKS this has so much emotion in it that I had to stop to breathe. It's spooky, it's otherworldly, it's up my alley as I'm a Scifi freak.

Lost in space and cyanotic!

Love the artistry of compositional style the cropping the mystery. The hue of neon green a the left balances and entices. This is a very seductive photo and I wonder how many saw the alien in the reflection.

Top notch work. It would not surprise me at all if you win this contest, you certainly have my vote.

Great display of emotions. I like the prominence of facial features and startled expression. I like the lights and shadows, that you've created, making the scene more dramatic, and adding depth to the background. The green and black colors, made a nice contrast. Drawn and painted with great concepts and skills. Well done.

I remember Sigourney Weaver because I was in love with her image and you haven´t quite nailed her here... in my humble opinion. However, I couldn´t be more impressed than I am with this work of art! Too bad you´re so smart or you might have had a lifetime of doing such incredible work... and probably have an angry family to contend with for throwing away your abilities :( Honestly, I think that you could have called it ¨Alien Somehow and Somewhere¨, and not mentioned Sigourney´s name and you would be ahead in the game of art. Regardless, excellent technical skills and great presentation!

Hi Oliver, Thanks for the compliment and the heads up too. I'll make some amendments to the notes and title as you suggest. Thanks a lot for the advice - I appreciate it! R.

PS: Indeed, you are right - there's no way my parents would have allowed me to deviate from studying science. Although I do wish I could be a full-time artist although the thought of doing art in return for money terrifies me. I'm not sure I'd be good enough for the amount of exposure required to 'make it'. Which is why I like sharing on FAR with like-minded artists who give me an incentive and drive to keep practising and improving no matter how small the steps! Thanks once again! R

So, mr. physicist, what did you think of the movie with Russell Crowe doing Beautiful Mind. I always wanted to ask someone really smart what they thought about someone who was really smart, but maybe a tad too smart? It is a question that I find highly fascinating since I spent so many years in the field of counseling psychology. Did you see the movie and what is your one sentence answer?

I've seen it and it was uncomfortable viewing. I'm not that smart but I have two friends who are a bit like John Nash and watching Russell trying to play the part of an autistic person felt rather too close to home for me to feel detached at some points in the movie. Still a good movie though! R

The book was much better if you ever get a chance or inclination to pick it up. Beautiful minds are beautiful regardless of whatever besets them. Crowe did it justice, I thought, but the book is head and shoulders above the movie in terms of understanding how brilliance works... or should I say marveling at how brilliance operates.
