It seems so strange to us in the northern hemisphere that you are starting summer and we are really getting into winter. Cold all over the US right now. A very unusual flower that I've not seen before and a fine photo of it. Wish you had mentioned its name. Sharp focus and a nice blurred background that makes it stand out well. Good photo.

Thanks David I actually didn't know what the flower is think it is in the onion family. Saw the snow in parts of USA on news looks pretty bad and very cold.

We had a few fires last season but not as bad as years past. Hope you do not have a bad ones. A good view, sharp focus and frame to show the little details and shapes.

That looks like a onion flower not opened yet. I like the way the light is coming from the top and giving shade to the bottom of the head just showing a tinge of blue. The background works well and it is balanced and framed nicely.

Mary, nice detail caught. It's sharp and the patterns catch our eye.

Also the background helps to give a further excitement to the presentation. You've cropped it well.

I'm smiling because your notes talk about exceptional heat and in the northern hemisphere people are dying from snowstorms.

Good catch, well seen and pleasant to review.

I have no idea what kind of plant this is but I like it. Kinda like a popcorn ball. The colors, focus and the depth are beautiful.
