Beautifully created painting, perfect detail of the fur. I feel it captures his essence and character through the eyes. The choice of a black background is right on, in my opinion. Great work Lynn! Such an adorable pup! So sorry for the loss of Squiggy.

I like the details of fur shown and the focus on the eyes. Your choice to show shadow in hues of blue red and yellow further enhance this art. Good dimensional drawing. If you had cropped down just a tad more the compositional balance would be stronger and engage the viewer's eyes even further.

It's as if you knew her LOL. She was chewing on her ball when my daughter called her name and she looked over her shoulder with that exact look. She snapped a picture just as she looked over her shoulder and we both cracked up laughing. I was looking through old photos and found this one and knew I had to paint it. Thank you for your kind insightful review.

The white dog is of course standing out really well against the black background, but I feel the contrast is almost too strong and would personally have preferred a lighter background and perhaps with some textures added to it.
The dog is however painted well and with good attention to details, and you have brought out fine textures in the fur.
Also the composition works quite well even if I have the feeling that a tad more negative space on the right would have been even better. All together a both sweet and well crafted digital painting.

An excellent choice of background to highlight Squiggy. The expression is so delightful and a great memory point for those who knew the dog.
I like how you have composed the frame with the tail in the lower corner and the point of view leading to the head.
Very good detail in the hair, ear, eyes and nose.

hello artdreamer. Twisted brush is n art program simular to gimp but it's the only painting program I use, sort of gotten spoiled with it. You can download a free version of it at http://help.pixarra.com it's a really awesome program. My animations are done on photoscape using a gif program.. I use I Clone 5 which is like Daz to do the main animation you can download a free thirty day trial of it at: http://www.reallusion.com/products.aspx. however, its an avi file and due to the fact you can't download an avi file I just stop the animation after a few frames save the image and continue until I have what I need, then take it to photoscape and place each frame in order and run the gif file. photoscape is another free download. Its really easy to do the animations on it. Hope yu give it a try its alot of fun. thank you for the kind review also
