As usual, I love your use of natural light, sharp focus, artistic eye for placement and use of filters.
I love the brushed out background and the faded leaf.

I got a little confused with the shadow because it looks like the light is coming from above and it seems like the shadow isn't in the right place. I got very distracted by this obviously. I also think the bottom part of the leaves is too dark.
But I know what you mean. Leaves are great too.

The repeating patterns and shapes add interest to the image.
The subdued shadowy background adds to the intrigue of this shot.
