Congratulations...you are a terrific self taught pencil artist! I recognized Shirley immediately
and am surprised to learn that this is not a typical poise. That little face is so full of mischief
and you did an excellent job in getting it right. Wonderful!

Very expressive little girl. Her gaze is priceless.

Her wavy hair and curved ribbon contrast nicely with the geometric pattern on her sleeve.

The light seems to illuminate her entire face, with little shadow.

This leads me to one comment. If the light illuminates her whole face would some of her arm, hands, fingers, and elbows also be a little lighter when the light hit? Just a comment from an inexperienced artist. :)

Nice job.

As always your drawing is a pleasure both to view and review, and of course it was easy to see straight away that this was little Shirley. This time it is especially the hair with the bow that is the best, and also the nicely textured background. I do however think that the iris of the eye to the left is floating out a bit and needs to be corrected, and I have feeling you started to hurry up to get this finished by the time you reached the arms and hands.

I think especially the hand at the very bottom, even if we don't see all of it, looks a bit off and is in need of more work. Still this is an over all well crafted drawing, but since I am so used to seeing your drawings without faults, I would say that this one needs some corrections.

Holy Sweet dimpled Shirley Temple Lady Linda!
I love this sweet pose, her chin tucked under her hands with her pursed tight lipped smile. She was adorable and my brother and I grew up watching her movies on Saturday mornings.
Superb likeness, details... Ahhhhhmazing worked by those Blessed hands Kids by God.
Well done!

Sorry I'm out of 6's Linda. This is a beautiful drawing of Shirley. You've captured her impish little smile very well. I like how you've drawn the hair and eyes.

Very nice composition with subtle light and shading. The dark background makes a perfect frame. Suzanne
