A nicely composed image with excellent colors. I like the way the stem of the glass is shown in its shadow more than the colored part of the glass itself. Best of luck in the contest.

Absolutely - I love the reflections one can appreciate with colored glass. The result of this digital presentation provides a painterly feel - at first I thought it was a traditional painting (until I read the notes). To scale you have placed this bottles reflections at the perfect angle and size reduction. I'm confuse as to the red object? Regardless - a beautiful creation.

The red object is a thick-walled small glass.

My favorite color. Wonderful reflection of the blue glass against the wall. I have spent years searching for blue glassware. Nicely done. Your perspectives are awesome.

I love the glass and the shadow. The proportion is very good. I also love the background. The way you made it look like it has texture. But I'm not sure what the brown thing by the glass is.

I like the concept and the work on the blue glass, but I can't tell what the smaller brown object is. Also, the shading and texture is very good.

A very cool still life, Cleo. The brilliance of the blue is stunning and beautifully rendered. The shadow is a lovely extra bonus and I like your notes describing the color shadow phenomenon. Well done!

indeed very odd to have a blue like hue in the shadow of this colourful glass and strange that the red object doesn't do the same with its shadow ! A nice painting overall with good structure

Thank you very much for your encouraging review. The blue glass is very thin while the red one is thick. The little red has a weight about three times more than the tall blue glass. I assume that cases the difference at the shadows. :o)

Lovely digital art painting, Cleo. As you say, you can't often see colours in shadows of objects so this is an interesting take. I like the limited palette you used for this. Excellent use of light and shade. Lovely composition. Suzanne

I really like the primitive look of this scene Cleo. It looks like it is in a home in Italy or Tuscany. This would look good as a wall hanging work in a classic kitchen area.

Very well done Cleo and thank you for re posting ~ Steve
