This is a beautiful still life . Two glass pieces , I especially like the tall stemmed goblet, I like the way you show the light coming through and it's shadow on the wall behind it, both pieces are well created with good shape and structure, the colors are well chosen and implied, it's intriguing to study how realistic this appears, wonderful work to show the light and shadows. Well created, arranged and presented! Best wishes to you in this contest !

I have surfed by this work several times and felt I should try and offer my opinion. I really like the piece, Please don't get me wrong. But The reflection blue I feel is too dark, unless thats a mirror wall. Which I don't think it is. I have seen color shadows and know what your talking about. Its just my opinion OK.

I agree with you, the blue needs to get turned down, but it is not a reflection Its a shadow. I have already done another version, but I cannot change the post because it is in a contest.
[Of course that is not a mirror wall. I would not do for a contest about shadows. I cannot call a reflection a shadow.]

A very impressive looking image,my friend! I know absolutely NOTHING about 'digital painting' so there's not much I could offer in the way of comments on the techniques that you've mentioned in your notes but I like the looks of this fine scene very much!

I must confess I know very little about digital painting. I have no idea what procedures were done but I can appreciate the outcome. The blue glass has an eye pleasing shape and color. Its shadow is perfect. The piece a the bottom helps balance the photo and adds a contrast. Nice light/shaded background. Well done.
