initial impact is very good. i love the contrasting colors. the blue wall adds dimension. the flowers in the bowl stand out nicely. i like the green pitcher with the flower stems. you did quite well with your painting.

Good attempt at a still life here. I would like to have seen a little more separation of the piece's. In that the shading is the same throughout the vases. Makes them flat and I know they're round. I would have grounded them by shading on the table. Good start though.

Thank you kindly for your review and your input. I will think about your suggestion. I do not understand right now right now what you mean by making the vase and bowls flat, but knowing the are round.

Your image is so fresh and airy. You painted the blossoms so beautifully and they look so delicate can almost smell them! I know they look better then the photo. Looks, feels like traditional painting. colors are all crisp with wonderful definition. Thank You,

This is quite stunning Cleo! Beautiful technique used in the lighting. I do like the shading on the vase and the bowl and the look of texture. This one is moving closer to traditional (natural material) painting than most digital work I see because of your technique. Lovely work, compostionally and in execution! jean

Thank you for this! I got a little frustrated because some one just told me the shading is all wrong.
I am not completely satisfied because of the background. This background does not work well for me. I think it is to much the same, it needs more shades of color and more texture I tried to stay close to the reference photo with this as exercise, but think I will stay not this close to colors and textures if a use a magazine photo again.
