Fire could be both natural [wildfire] or artificial [fire place] light. A candle is man made and has to be lighted by man. Therefore it is considered artificial light.

I was envisioning something else entirely when I happened upon the title of this well presented and enjoyably interesting piece,my friend,but even though the image doesn't represent something of a historical or military nature as I'd hoped it might it's still a very pretty and very impressive looking picture!

An eye catching shot. The black background enables a number of possible crops and this is certainly one of the nicest. The light on the wax is very good and the colors are excellent.

Your right, it does look like a horse carrying the candle. How impressive is your shot. I love the way the candle has burned, but I love candles anyways. They take on a life of their own. This is a great picture, and thank you for sharing, and good luck with the contest.

Wow! I can see the horse and the lady, a happy chance. Love the spectrum colors on the flame, specially the blue. The black b/g is very effective. Great entry to the contest. Well done

Thank you very much for your review and your kind wishes. The blue in the flame was a surprise for me. There must have been something in the candle wachs.

initial impact is good. that the image worked so well in it's own flame is nicely done. you have a nice light of the front of the candle and not have a big halo of light is a good thing. it's centered nicely, the focus is sharp. well done.
