The baby fox is truly cute and especially the curios look in its pretty eyes is so well captured. It is really nice that you managed to capture it on the open and how well it is standing out from the background.

Your photo is also nice and sharp showing really clear and well defined details in the face of the fox, and the exposure is perfect.

Personally I would probably have cropped just a bit tighter, but it is very nice the way you have given the little one room to move into. I think this is a really cute and well taken photo, and with a very good DOF.

Thanks so much for the very nice review! I did end up cropping it in tighter after you and Nature Rules both suggested it! I had it out a bit because the contest wanted to see it in its natural habitat but I guess it doesn't need to show quite so much of it! This is a fine subject for a photo. You have captured him well. Your have a rendition of essentially unaffected reality by the photographer here. Your viewers eyes lead directly to the point of interest. I wonder if cropping a bit more would give us a better view of the fox. Your surroundings give a good story has to his habitat, but a little cropping might take away some of the 'too busy' feeling that our eyes see. Your color saturation is very good and has not sacrificed any detail as far as I can tell. Again, if the focus is clear in a smaller crop, the fox would be a delightful subject to view. Your lighting is delicate and sets the mood for this natural scene. I look forward to more of your posts. Sincerely, NR After Modification: I like it much better. Great wildlife photo that you captured here. Not something we see very often out our way. There are a few that live in the mountains but rarely does anyone ever get to see them. Beautiful little red fox out exploring the new world. This is a great entry for the contest and should be a top contender. Great exposure and pin sharp focus to show it off well.
