Excellent entry for the flags contest and yes a photo that brings out lots of emotions for all of us. Really like how the flag is framed by the structure of the memorial and you shot this with a good angle to capture it against that beautiful blue sky with white puffy clouds. Nice work and good luck in the contest.

I am a former soldier I was a combat medic as well 82nd air assault in the army freedom is never free it comes with courage and fidelity there is no greater sacrifice and they paid the ultimate one beautiful expression here

This is indeed a great entry for the contest, and I can see that this is not just a snap shot. It was well thought out to get the Flag placed exactly between the gap in the ceiling. You were blessed with a lovely sky as well, and the Flag is standing out from it in the most excellent way.
Your photo is nice and sharp showing really clear and well defined details in the American flag, and the exposure is just perfect. Crisp and clear colors as well.
The photo is nicely cropped and I think the flag has got a very fine placement within the frame. I think this is a really well taken photo, and I wish you luck with the contest.
