Very sensitive and profound portrait rendering. The look on the face holds such strength and compassion, and to me, sees far beyond what is visually near for sight. A gentle and very touching work. Thank you for sharing. Best to you in the contest. it is an extraordinary work of such excellence.

This is most beautiful and the way I often imagine Jesus to look... so full of love and compassion. Your rendering is soft and gentle, yet powerful. I really like the glow of illumination around His body - which depicts his supernatural, yet also human... being. I love this.

I absolutely love this. I think it's interesting how you just know when you see pic of this guy that it's Jesus. Why do we have this image in our head. Well for whatever reason, you've captured it. I long to meet this man some day. You've really captured the essence of his love, wisdom, humility, authority, and gentleness. Thank you so much. It is very inspiring. BTW, how did you make the softness around the edges...charcoal powder? pan pastels? a pencil? charcoal and a blender? thx

I absolutely love this. I think it's interesting how you just know when you see pic of this guy that it's Jesus. Why do we have this image in our head. Well for whatever reason, you've captured it. We meet again. Thank you for this very generous rating. I am so glad that you were able to see all those qualities of our Lord in this picture. Does my heart good. To get the softness around the edges, I use pencil, and blending stump.

Very good entry for the contest. Excellent pencil drawing of Jesus Christ and just as we imagine He would look. I like the pose you chose for this. I like all the detail in the hair and how you differentiate between the various textures of hair, clothing and skin. The sepia tone works very well.
