How precious, Linda! I love this little one's reflective and prayer filled poise! Gorgeous pencil rendering so rich in detailing, shaded technique to create form, texture and instill presence. Beautiful light!

I saw a photograph of this little guy a while back, and I kept coming back to him. There was something so innocent and pure about his prayer. I contacted the photographer and told him that I wanted to use his photo to draw this little boy. The faith of a child touches our hearts. I was honored to be able to draw him. Thank you for your wonderful review.

Again, same as last time, you caught my attention. You captured the faith of this little one so well. The innocence of youth is in your pencil. This one actually had an emotional effect on me as well. Very well done and thank you for sharing.

This is a beautiful piece, you have captured the innocence and unconditional faith of this young child. The values in the hair and clothes have created a very realistic feel. I like the highlights, which draw the eye to the child's neck and face. Very inspiring!

This pencil drawing is absolutely wonderful, I also enjoyed reading your profile information. I too am a Christian and love to do art work. I enjoy writing Christian poetry, which came about because I suffered an extreme manic depressive break and had to be hospitalized for it. After that experience was when I began to write poetry. I have many of my writings on fanstroy. Patricia (patcelaw)

I am going to have to join Fan Story and read your poems. I am sure I will see the Spirit of Christ amongst the lines. His persona is evident where He is loved. I hope that your depression is under wraps, and that your joy is overflowing.

Congratulations Linda. Well deserved with such a lovely drawing like this. I think seeing the little boy praying would melt even the coldest heart. It is always difficult to review something being as beautiful and perfectly done as this, but if I was going to be very picky, I would say that the framing is a bit too tight. But any reviewer would not even take this into consideration when they see how perfect everything else is.

I especially like the way you have used light and shadows to bring out the fine contrasts, and I also think you have brought out fine textures of the background and in the little boy's clothes. And then of course the most evident, that this is done paying extremely good attention to details.

This is a piece of art I would never be tired of looking at over and over again, and it is for sure worthy of being hung on a lot of walls. This is indeed well crafted and truly lovely, and I am really sorry I have tun out of the 6 stars ratings for this week. Again, big Congratulations on your win.
