Cool,Lori!
That's a really nice looking photographic capture of a mid nineteenth century smooth-bore muzzle loading howitzer,my friend!
The scene's lighting and coloration are especially pleasing!

Great photo framing with trees. The tree in forefront on right serves as a boundary and the left tree draws the eye inward, The shadowing of the tree makes the cannon appear to be in a spotlight, Yellow leaves capture light in left wheel. Soft blurring of background enhances clarity of cannon detail.

Nice photograph. I enjoy going to the battlefields to photograph, they are rich with the history of our country. You have done a good job framing the canon. The lighting really makes it stand out. Thanks for sharing this.

it looks like it's ready to fire and in mint condition, a sorry reminder of all the men who fought and lost their lives . The brave, the strong and the free.....

How weapons have changed over the years. A really good view, like the frame with the trees, a sunny day, focused and tells your story so well. So sad but part of our countries history.

Nice composition, colors are wonderfully natural and the focus is canon solid. Nice shallow depth of field pulling the eye straight into the cannon. I find the lighting may be just a tad on the dark side but the drama it lends is fantastic. Thanks for sharing.

I think, as a species, we would do well to stop glorifying war. A fine shot though with beautiful colors and excellent details.

I am not a fan of war but I think it is good to know history and also to remember those who have died protecting our freedom! Thanks so much for the very nice review! Lilibug6
