That does look cold.it's quite interesting the way those icicles formed, sorta remind me of cold icy fingers. Good idea to convert to b&w,very nicely composed with good focus and dof, like the layered look with the branches and the tree in the background. An apt entry for the contest,i wish you all the best!

Very strange icicles, a demons fingers perhaps? Your conversion to black and white makes the photograph even more intriguing. Nice job! Best of luck in the contest.

wow that is really unusual. amazing how nature has formed these amazing structures. such a crazy look, almost witch like and a bit creepy. you should have taken them home and put in the freezer, lol.

Brrrr! Ideal entry for the contest, Cleo. They certainly are unusual looking icicles as they curve from the branch. I like all the patterns shown by the twigs and ice-covered branches. Makes you feel cold just looking at it! I think this is helped by converting it to black and white. Very imaginative presentation. Suzanne

Fantabulous icicle hanging on a sleek twig....
Low vantage point enhanced the visual language and power dynamics of this image.
Thanks!

Omg! The very sight of this makes me freeze. We have a pleasant 20 C in winter here!:) The black and white presentation looks very apt. The clarity and composition have come out well. Good effort!
