This is just a handsome composition created as still life with the perfect items and components to create your topic

fantastic placement and decorative skills, the way they are combined is harmonious, well distributes in your space ,
the dark background lets the items stand out perfectly, as your camera settings and lighting are fantastic

super focus - clear and sharp image , I just love the harmony in this image a tru master piece, thanks for sharing

Halloween is creeping on to us, and I have already bought the sweets for all the children I know will turn up. It is a creepy scene you have made up here, and I like that everything is set against a black background. The only thing being a bit distracting is that the candle in the foreground is tilting to the right.

All the items are nice and sharp with good details, but again I have comments to the candle up front. I would have liked the flame to show better, and it might be an idea to use a burning tool on the top of the candle.

The filters you have used is working well, and it has given the photo a nice old look. I also think the tight framing works well, and all the items have got a fine placement within the frame. It is a nice Halloween scene you have created here, and I wish you luck with the contest.

Thank you Anne. It might have helped if I read the light off the candle so it didn't seem so washed out. Also I could try a burn tool to tone it down. Thanks for the tips.

WELL Meg, I hope this isn't one of your "rule of thirds" critics? I can see you put bit of time in this project, and me thinking your a Novice photographer, (hog wash)! You did more with this than I could!! Avery nice take on a goulish subject. Your composition and touch up effects are quite nice...G.L. on the contest...Steve H.

Thank you so much for the kind review and wonderful rating. I really am a novice but I also happen to be a fast learner. When I joined FAR in July I could have never done something like this. It pays to listen to the reviews and observe the work of those who know more than you. :)

LOL thank you. Yep I have a weird mind after spending 30+ years as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. The average person would probably run away from things I saw and did as part of my job. To me it was just another day at the office. :)

Excellent composition. I like all of the items you have used to get the feel of the picture. The lighting is great as well as the focus. The black background was an excellent choice. Really well done and well thought out.

Thank you. Possibly the filters affected the look of the flames.
