excellent mixed media tones and forms. well placed and good depth. Love the eerie overtones and scary theme. I have a lot of friends on Fan Story that would love this to illustrate their post. Very well framed with great lighting and shadows. nice.

Thank you very much. I recently had 2 different authors on fan Story use some of my work to illustrate their writing.

Thank you so much Sange, What a kind review. You know, sometimes you have an idea in your mind but when you put it together in reality it falls flat. I was very lucky here because all the pieces came together very well. I really had fun doing this. It was only the second still life I tried but I definitely will be doing more in the future. The props all came from our local Rite Aid pharmacy Halloween items. And best of all is the fact that the "books" are not real. They are really storage boxes LOL.

This is pretty creepy -- in a good way! I really like the composition... the askew old books are perfectly placed in the frame. I also like the over all light in this photograph. (personal taste... I think the foreground candelight is a bit overexposed.)
I think this post-processing of this was a wise choice. Good one!

Good still life. Composition is great, with the skull elevated just above the "center" point of the photo. Has all the elements of a good spooky book cover. Light balance is very good for this type of shot.

Oh, how creepy is this? What fun!! Attention grabbing image with great subject matter. Great color, dof and composition. The lighting is superb. I think the tarantula could be more sharply delineated and I am confused by the purple item in the background but overall, wonderful.

The purple item you mention in the background is a black raven with glowing eyes. I tried to get it to blend into the black background so only the red glowing eyes were prominent.
