This is very beautiful. I think the background and lighting really give it that special kind of look. The middle of the rose is stunning as well. I like that the petals are still pretty tightly gathered. Good idea.

Thank you. It was just one of those "Lets shoot it and see what happens" moments. I really wasn't sure if it was going to be anything really worth keeping.

For me beauty lies in all phases of life , birth, full bloom as well as the different states of falling apart - you captured one of these states in perfection , your color range is excellent , DOF contrast and lighting create enough ambiance to let the center stand out very well , your picture is clear and sharp - well framed , taken from a nice perspective - a special rose for sure, thanks for sharing

I totally agree. Really nice photo, love the way you darkened the edges and concentrated on the middle. Beautiful soft pink come out nicely in the dark parts. Nicely centered with the light. Glad you shared this one
