Meg, you get a cyber 6. I'm out already. This had to be one of the most unique captures I have ever seen. I really like the creativity behind it. The technical aspects are perfect. Focus, depth and exposure are spot on. Well done.

Thank you so much Paul. You made my day. This was just one of those photos that come about by accident by being in the right place at the right time. We have not had any snow yet this year which is unusual. This was just one of those little squalls that appeared and was gone just as quickly but it really kick the photo up a notch. :)

Thank you. I just got the macro lenses that I ordered. I am still getting to feel comfortable with them so I will probably be taking as many macros as I can in the coming months. Thanks for the tip about getting the add on's they are very easy to use and I look forward to experimenting with them. :)

Thank you. The original photo had 5 seed pods but I cropped it down to three after several reviewers found one of them a distraction because it was a little out of focus. :)

A lovely wintery scene I like the shallow doff which brings the seed pods out in such great focus. Good capture on those feathery tendrils which look beautiful with the snow flakes
Great natural colour. Lovely focus and clarity a magical scene. Thanks for sharing.

Nice capture of the remnant's of your summer garden. The lighting on the white fuzz is a bit strong but does add contrast to the background. Well cropped and construction of the three heads are great. Nice shot.

It is a fine capture Meg. Love the wispy whites on the seed pods kissed with snowflakes.
You have nice focus, fine DOF and lovely details.
I would only suggest you remove the bottom left out of focus pod by cloning out along with cropping.
Nice shot :)

Enjoy viewing your Clematis Vines with all the seed pods. They look like claws holding the beautiful seeds. Enjoy wispy, fury tenticals holding on to the seeds. Very beautiful and very wintery with pods and their stems sharp as they wait as you say for spring. A long wait but don't think Clematis knows that but maybe. Thank You for sharing.

Thank you. It has been a mild winter so far with really no snow yet.
Comment from mikethompson30

I love the shallow DOF for this photograph. It prevents any distraction from the subject matter which is nicely captured. The seeds have a nice softness to them which, with the snow on them gives that wintry feel. It looks like there is a little motion blur on the bottom left group of seeds but I think this just adds to the softness of the picture. I really like this picture, I keep coming back to look at it again and again. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you very much for your very kind review. I am really glad you are enjoying it. You are right there was some wind at the time with the snow squall.
