a great close up mary of this strange looking flower; good exposure for the red, without smearing and pin sharp focus against the blured bg;

The bright colors and the stunning pods . Give the flower a insect like appearance , The dark what could be heads just cause you to focus on the center of the plant . The small moisture droplets just seems to enhance the overall shot . Great focus and sharpness.
Beautiful . Thanks David

Wow, never seen anything like it. Great colors - bold, makes me wonder the story behind the plant. Your camera techs expert in exposure with fine highlight and the focus showing every detail of the bloom. Thanks for sharing.

    Thanks so much, I really appreciate your feedback. When they grow in the wild they are mainly prostrate and form a carpet of flowers. Hoping to see them flowering when we do a road trip in July if there has been enough rain in those areas. :) Mary

Coming from South Australia myself, I am drawn to this photo. Colour is richly depicted and there is lovely clarity and focus of this Sturt Desert Pea. Very nice composition. Very well done!
