I missed this one in the past and glad to see it revived. Aptly title since it wonderfully and dramatically displays the power of waves. Beautifully rendered, Suzanne, with excellent depth and perspective. I can almost hear its crashing noise! So very well done.

A very nice painting with fine detail in the white water and beautiful colors. You have captured the curious mixture of power and serenity that the breaking waves generate in us.

I must say that after looking at your Art (and that is Art with a capital A), I had to take another look at the announcement.... was it a photo contest or a traditional art contest. AND low and behold, it was an Art contest. Your waves look so real. I can feel the mist coming from them when I move closer to the screen (smile). No, seriously....you have painted a photograph of wave realness (Does that even make any sense??)
The color and texture of your waves...the entire composition, not to mention the lighting, angle, and framing are all top notch. You have hit the hammer on the nail. BRAVO. Definitely a contender for top spot in this contest. I wish you all the best. Thanks so much for sharing. EXCELLENT.

A fantastic three D picture of a wave breaking before is crashes onto the Yorkshire beach the colour of the water & your depiction of the foam is fantastic. In my head I can hear the wind whistling & the crash of the wave as it brakes & feel the spray along with the cold wind burning my cheeks. Wonderful composition created with very skilfil brushwork, art's eye for colour, their blending & application to create this wonderful Art Work.
Good luck in the contest.

Wow this is artwork! Looks so real. Wonderful colors. Shows a lot of action. Very creative. How can the water look any better then being the real thing! Impressive.

Delicious strokes, well chosen colours, they work very well and in my opinion, realistic. Nice painting And I think it works well in the framing/cropping. Well done!

a great image of the crashing wave, I like the flow and movement that this evokes, the colour combination is lovely and gives this light and dark which highlights the water, framed for maximum impact, very well done, thanks for sharing.

Like the ocean, and it's mighty power, your brush strokes evoke this feeling of majesty. The foam and the cresting wave looks so real. Your color choices are right on.
