A very nice shot. I like the perspective on the purple cone flower as well as the very fine colors. The colors are great and the bee is nicely placed in the frame.

Mary, I can see the main focus is on the interior of the flower and the dof is quite shallow giving a blur to the bee as well. Was this your intention?

Also you have blow outs on the petals where all photographic information has been lost....and I have a feeling you just snapped this on A mode.

The bokeh is lovely however, nice and appropriately soft....and the format is good in that noble long vertical.

WHA 110 is hot but try 122 here in Arizona some years ago when moved to Arizona.. Excellent shot of floral and Honey Bee with vibrant colors and lots of detail. Beautiful capture of this big flower. Thank You for sharing.

Thanks so much, whoa that is hot it gets up to the 50c (122F) further north from where we are couldn't handle that..
