Congratulations on winning the blue contest (twice)! It was well deserved as this is absolutely stunning. Your placement of the glasses and the colored paper was indeed very precise and extremely well thought-out. The result is well worth the time you must have spent arranging this. Colors and geometrical patterns are amazing, with the peacock-like fractals as a breath-taking touch adding glamour to your composition. Exposure and lighting as fantastic, slight dark vignette on the corners works great. Spectacular, bravo!! :)

Very creative and an exceedingly different entry to the color blue contest. Love the varying shades of blue mirrored in the glass and surround. Excellent work.

This is absolutely spectacular. I was fascinated with the process on how you created it. The steps you took....not many, but they seem (each and every one of them) to be just as important as the next one. Each step the placement of the mirror then the selection of what type of glasses... size/shape and then coming to the decision of how much water is too much. Next came the placement of paper and what kind of paper? Tissue? Something stronger? One thing you didn't mention is the lighting. Exactly what type of lighting? Natural? A lamp placed in a certain place facing a certain direction?. Your Artist's notes fascinated me...How did you come to learn about doing this in this particular way? Did someone show you? Did you just try a variety of different things and then in one of your many tries you hit the hammer on the nail? Have you ever tried it with different colors of paper? Emerald green , Amethyst purple, or perhaps a bronzy copperish type color may be beautiful as well. I felt lost when looking at your.photo...a good lost...perhaps mesmerized us s better word. Especially y after reading your notes. The combination of your creativeness and your knowledge of the camera and your patience plus reading your artist's notes in the steps you took to get there made me appreciate your photo even more. I am truly fascinated by everything. You opened up something more in my learning process of photography. I thank you for that. Excellent. Thanks so much for sharing.

Thank you so very much for the lovely and enthusiastic review Katharina. It is always such a pleasure to read your reviews. Also thanks a lot for all the stars. Then you had some questions. I have used paper you use for scrap books, and still I have not tried with other colors, but I will. I also had to take a few photos before I managed to get the glasses in the right position. I actually saw some photographs done like this on internet, but it was not explained how it was done. When it comes to light, I just natural light coming through a window.

Oh this is very nice. The filters make it seem almost surreal. Yes the camera placement is critical in getting the reflections just right and in balance. This will make an excellent wall picture in the right home redecorating motif. Thank you for sharing.

I like how it's hard to tell if this is a photo or a painting. The way you lay out the design is cool: it has elements of symmetry, yet it doesn't at the same time. The peacock design is outstanding, and the overarching blue hues unify everything. Very artistic, with the white thing standing in the background.
