Stunning capture Deb! I can almost breathe in that cold, crisp fresh air. The sky color is amazing, the trees and landscape kissed with snow are simply Beautifulous.
Fine controll on the whites.
A real sit and be still moment.
Well done Deb!

When it gets that cold around here Sange the sky often turns that amazing color. You got it exactly when you said a 'real sit and be still moment'' Thank you for checking this one out too Sange.....oh hell, I just noticed you gave it an extra star. Thank you so very much. That means a lot coming from you.

I know how you feel! It was certainly worth your while going out and getting this beautiful shot! It has a fine traditional composition and the colours look natural. There just seems to be a little noise in the top part of the sky. Otherwise, well done!

There's a lovely softness to this photograph. The colours in the sky are great and wonderful DOF. Aren't you so lucky to have that beauty on your doorstep. Something we tend to take for grant occasionally. Lovely work.

Thank you so much Bernadette. Just told someone else that I often say I have the prettiest piece of the earth in this part of Vermont....and I don't take it for granted. I am amazed daily at the loveliness I am surrounded by. I really appreciate your time viewing and commenting on my photo.

A lovely winter's scene! Lucky you having a place like that on your doorstep!
The snow has been well exposed, without any sign of burnout, except it appears to have a blue cast. I think the scene would look even better if the blue cast was removed (ie Select the areas of snow, then Select the Hue/Saturation Control. Then select the Blue Channel, and reduce the Amount until the snow appears white)
Nice image even as it is though!

I think so too mudge. I brag that I have the prettiest piece of earth in this part of Vermont. Yes....snow can be a bitch w/ that blue tint. Have the hardest time on less sunny days. I really appreciate your time viewing and commenting on my photo.

Impressive capture! An interesting initial impact. Harmonious colors. Literally a cool composition.
Subtle illumination. Diffused focusing.
Nice perspective & narrow DOF. Thanks for sharing...

Absolutely love the contrast of the colors in the sky and the landscape. What really draws my eye is the dark trees up against a blue/pink sky. It reminds me of a painting and inspires me to get out the oil paints and canvas. It also makes me want to go for a hike!

Thank you so much again Jack. Winter is VERY long here in northern Vermont....I would be a basket case if I didn't get outside. I really appreciate your time viewing and commenting on my photo.

What a great photo. I can feel the cold. The snow coated grass is like a blanket drawing the eye to the focal point - the leafless tree. The tinted clouds act as a beautiful backdrop.

Thank you so much Coxen. This photo did exactly what I'd hoped it would.....convey not just the beauty of the scene....but the temperature as well. Always have a helluva time keeping my camera battery warm on days like this. I really appreciate your time viewing and commenting on my photo.
