I really love the colors here, they are awesome and the boats look like they are ready to go out and bring back a lot of fish. I have only seen these on TV but it looks like it would be hard to tip over. This is really a great photo, keep up the great work and thanks for sharing. JackJr.

Very pretty photo capturing these two boats at sunset. Lovely composition with the two boats nicely positioned center right of the frame. Excellent exposure and clarity. The lighting from the sunset is gorgeous rendering colorful light reflections on the water. Great interplay of light and shadow with a good POV. A very well taken photo with excellent DOF and framing. Very well done. ~Alveria

This is indeed a beautiful sunset, and if it had not been for the horizon dipping a bit to the left, This had been a 6 stars shot. The colors are just fantastic, and I especially like the way the colors from the sky are reflected in the water.

The boats are also standing out sharp and well defined against all this glory, and it is also a truly lovely and soft light in this photo. The exposure is perfect.

I also think the cropping is working really well, and the boats have got a perfect placement off to the right. A truly lovely and well taken photo, and with an excellent DOF.

    many thanks Annie for the nice comments;
    when you bring thge horizon at the dop, it is dipping to the right.........by 0.1 mm

    I am not sure what you meant Fred, but the horizon is dipping to the right. You can see this even with the naked eye.

    It is good to hear that we agree. LOL I just feel that a photo has to be perfect to give 6 stars.

The placement of the boats in the frame really draws the eye they are well balanced and lead to the rock in the background.
Great sunset colours which look beautiful on the calm ocean. Great use of light and shadow. A well thought out composition which evokes peace and tranquility. Well done. Thanks for sharing this. A wall hanger.

Excellent color contrast! I like how the dark shades/shadows are on the right side of the picture and the multi colored sky takes up the left side. Very life like, I feel like I am there when I look at this picture!

As an artist (painter) I look at photos regarding how they are composed, how light is used, placement of images, and does it create an emotional response for me. Finally I ask myself "would that make a great painting?" The answer is YES in regards your Philippine bancas at sunset. Everything comes together in this photo.. creating a feeling one carries with them after they have stopped looking at the photo. Great job!

You've captured a gorgeous sunset. Coloring is brilliant above and below the well-defined horizon. Silhouettes provide a story-telling element to the image. Your composition is framed beautifully with the boats lined up at an angle along with the mountain or highland (Sorry if that's not quite worded right). More to the point, your POV and DOF are top-notch. Kudos:)
