The lighting on this is incredible. The setting sun and the clouds, both really nice. The silhouette is nicely sharp and your subject is in a good place, slightly off center. However, a former instructor drummed into our heads "All in or all out". And in this case I have to agree. The chopping of the bottom makes for an awkward composition. With the whole wheel it would have been perfect. But whats here is very nice.

Many thanks for your thoughts in your review. I cropped at the bottom because it was not very attractive!

Beautiful... Love ferris Wheel, Please tell me you that you have another shot of this or of something I think there is a contest, check it out... This is a gorgeous sunset. I love clouds, The golden clouds here as the sun is filtering through them is wonderful. the silhouette of the ferris wheel is wonderful. I like the crop.. I am learning that you don't have to show all of the main subject. :) Very nice. Deserves more then a 5 Thanks for sharing

An atmospheric shot of the top half of the Ferris Wheel in Llandudno, in Wales set against a golden sun set with thin clouds that fill the sky tinted gold by the sun as it drops below the horizon. Beautiful composition, framing & soft natural lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.
(They were usually found in Fare Grounds & were known a Fare Ground Wheels. It was when they placed a large one on the Bank of the river Thames to celebrate the turn of the century in 2,000ad that that Ferris Wheel became the London Eye, because when you went up in it you could become like an eye in the sky.)

Looking at this makes me think of fun at the carnival when I was a boy. The sky behind it is spectacular. I look for the oranges and reds but this frames the wheel in great ways.
The cropping at the bottom was a little too much. I yearned to see the whole thing. Great photo.

where have all the people gone?? I like the photo because it has a good use of the rule of thirds, has good contrast, nice sky and good composition.

That's really beautiful. That Ferris Wheel brings back lovely memories of the local fair and my dad taking me up on it so I could see the local town below. You have captured this wonderfully. The colours are stunning and your focus is clarity is spot on. Thanks so much for sharing this.
