A truly beautiful close up of this colorful Flamingo, and it is standing out from the black background in the most excellent way. I especially like the way the eye is peeping through the feather, and how lovely the light is falling on the bird.
Your photo is also pin sharp showing really clear and well defined details in every part of the bird, and especially the feathers. Also the exposure is perfect.
The tight framing works really well, and the bird has a perfect placement within the frame. This is a truly beautiful and well taken photo, and with an excellent DOF.

You do make them very Elegant. Love the black background. Love the crop if you cropped, in lightroom or in camera. Love the feathers up on the face, and they eye just peeking out... Very cool, very nice.. Thank you for sharing.

It's the subtelty of this post that pulls on our eyes. Soft, minimal, yet the flow of feathers and their dance catch us on our visual journey. The eye, the eye, oh the eye - so critical and it is there hidden, yet watching us.
I always study the margins of an image to see how well extracted the image is from the background. I appreciate you sharing with me your technique and I have your notes at "home".
