Love this drawing. Made me tear up thinking of my father during WWII. The cross reminded me of the bible that he carried and all the emotions he had as a paratrooper during that time. Great work! And good luck in the contest.

Your father was a good man, who worshiped and honored the Lord. God bless him for his service. Thank you for sharing.

This is a very good drawing. I love your shading, detail and contrast. I wish I could draw this good. Excellent work on the cross and facial features and fingernails. I would give you a 6 if I had one.

I was thinking Braveheart for some reason when I saw this. Good emotional pic; great lines and shading; wonderful expressions; don't really see anywhere to improve; thanks for sharing.

I truly wish I had more stars to give you for this particularly poignant and heart wrenching drawing. You have a gift beyond any words that one could possibly convey (I think I've said it to you before as I know who has drawn this just by looking at it). The attention to detail is impeccable and conveys a story of turmoil, loyality, sacrifice and absolute bravery that will no doubt be etched in his heart for a lifetime. You've blown me away with this one. I wish you the very best in the competition.

This is adorable! Two different expressions are well drawn in one frame. Your note goes together with this drawing. Very subtle and delicate.

Well done and thanks for sharing.

Love this drawing , but it doesn't show a any sign of the military . No stars and bars , medals , uniforms , just 2 guys that remind me of a boxing match not war , or resolve .
Really awesome drawing though keep it up.

    Oh ok, thank you.

You did catch the emotion and frailty of our soldiers. Excellent detail shown and the contrast between the pensive face to the noise of the background soldier infuses us with emotion as well. The contrast is well depicted by your art.

War - what is it good for - ABSOLUTELY NUTTIN.

Writing to you from Vietnam where traces of the "American War" can be seen in many places. Over one million Vietnamese lost their lives.

Thank you Life. You are right about war. It is the bravery of the human soul that lifts the head.
