Scotland me thought-- has to be, mountains, stags etc but maybe not- possibly a photo drawn.Either way, an excellent drawing-you should concentrate on drawing endangered animals so there is a reference of them in drawings- well drawn.

A very beautiful sepia design, I love the natural way you placed the animal with the nice shadow - excellent use of space, amazing detail work on his body shape and muscles - as well as the fine creation of the background being soft but accurate in definition a very well balanced and well composed design,
Thanks for sharing

The drawing is very well done and reflects the effort that braying requires of stags in the mating season, when they can loose up to a third of their weight. It is an excellent illustration of the poem that your included nicely in your notes. All together a nice piece of work.

I love the choice to use the warm sepia tones for this. It gives it a sort of soft, melancholy feel. The strength and grace of the animal seems to be the main point here, but the vast emptiness that surrounds him tells a story too. This is very well done. Thanks for sharing it.

beautiful sepia tones with good use of shading bringing this picture to life . The soft tones of the background contrasting with the main subject works well and gives this beast a majestic feel as he bellows out his powerful call. Good piece of work this . neilnap773

I must say that I like the drawing much better than the poem. The stag is nicely detailed and in a great setting. I like the shadow and the nice tonality.
