All the cormorants I have seen have a sooty black color and it is great to see a white breasted one. I like the perch and the wonderful background. The eye and webbed feet are great too.

Thanks Mike - we do have some all black cormorants but not as common as the black and white ones :)

Magnificent birds they are.
This one with white (never seen with white) is awesome. Great abdomen in white, black in back, eyes are awesome and beak magnificent. Colors are bright, clear and awesome. Centered, detailed and shadowed properly. Magnificent photo of Mr. Cormorant and great eye viewer.

Thanks Lolly, the white and black ones are quite common in Australia just make sure they are a fair distance away when you are trying to photograph them LOL :)

a nicely structured photo shot of this great bird but its lacking sharp focusing..it is lost in the diffused background as a result of this and does not reach its full potential as a great photograph which is shame as the central positioning of this subject is so good

It's difficult to get a good photo of birds, because they move a lot or want to flee. This photo looks slightly over exposed and I would have placed the subject in the left third of the picture. Still a great photo of this bird!
