my first words I would like to express is pretty for this piece of art your sharing with me, where do I start I love the way you thought about from the black background that just adds more attention to your white flower rain drop subject, t I can see the texture of these 5 flowers and the close up center postion of your subject and the rain drop that hang like tiny marbles again just brings more attention to your white flower subject good job !

Love this bit of instruction about this flower. I really like phlox now that I know more about them. These beauties are perfect, especially in the dark, with the drops of rain upon their delicate petals. Excellent.

Petals are beautiful with water drops on them, they seem to have very good energy. Properly shadowed, centered and detailed these "Davids" are magnificent and are an awesome eye viewer.

This proves that when one shoots manually you can shoot white or any color and get controlled exposure/white balance.
I know the challenges you faced shooting in the dark, flashlight held between your knees and staying Rock Steady to shoot this at a very low shutter speed.
The petals have a velvet like look, the focus is sharp, white balance is controlled and the raindrops are like glowing diamonds.
