Great night shot. Lighting and focus are excellent. The position of the flowers and the water droplets make the shot very eye catching. The dark backround makes it look like these flowers are floating.

Great initial impact. Thank you for your interesting notes regarding the Phlox in your garden - they are beautiful flowers. I like the angle you used for this, Deborah, with the water droplets looking like crystals on the curling petals. The black background makes a perfect frame. Very good lighting and focus. Love the visual impact of this Deb but on the large upload it has pixellated, we can see aberrations throughout the petals, and around the edges. The small upload looks perfect however.

This has a real classy look to it. I'm giving you a mark based on the review of thumbnail.

LOL...thought you might Olga. Of course it doesn't really show this time w/ the night as a background. Thought of using a white one but really do not like anything but the narrowest of black ones.....anything else looks tacky I think. Always feel they finish off my photos....like a period at the end of a sentence. Thank you for grading on the thumbnail....this guy was a real challenge so I appreciate that.

I can0t help it and have t spend my last 6 star for this week, I normally do not spend at the beginning of the week loll - fantastic initial impact, your picture is so clear and sharp with such a stunning lighting that these simple lovely blooms stand out do well in fine textures - exposure is awesome as white is not easy to manage, the soft water pearls enhance this image in a lovely way

A beautiful shot with very good depth of field. Is this a long exposure with light painting on the flowers? did you use a tripod? It is remarkably crisp with great detail in the water.

No...no tripod yet mm although I DO know it would help a whole bunch. This photo was a challenge for sure. Of course I tried to keep noise down (ISO 100) and chose to play it safe @ f 5.6 ...1/30s. Took quite a few shots before I was happy w/ the result so your extra star is appreciated GREATLY! Thank you so very much.

Deb, I think you are getting the after dark shoots down to an artistic science. At least from the shadows I can tell you weren't holding the light in your teeth LOL. Great capture here. I particularly like the water droplets. I too have Phlox, only one variety and it is a bluish color (Lowes special 1/2 off sale may be the name). Anyway, another great scene Deb ~ Steve
