I love your consideration of that which many would simply pass on by. It is refreshing to see the simple things honored with the immortality that photography imparts.

Beautifully composed....I really like the way you've put this one together Shelley.

Never been a huge fan of B&W but you have enough variation in tones here that it works well. It's crisp and sharp throughout....fantastic DOF ...everything's well exposed and shooting it w/ the driftwood has definitely added some interest.

Really well done. Best of luck in the contest.

A beautifully composed shot. Tremendous depth of field and sharp throughout. The black and white presentation has a very good range of tones and is eye catching. Best of luck in the contest.

This is a very dynamic black and white, which captures the full gamut of gray (desirable in B&W photography). The driftwood offers such a nice initial focal point whereas our eyes are able to gradually move take in the pristine vistas in the back. Very aesthetically pleasing. Kathy

The lighting and the black and white really work on this.
The scene is stark but beautiful with the clouds, snow on the mountains and the weather beaten wood which looks like some sort of creature. Very cool shot!!
