Cleo,
A very beautiful digital painting of the sweet scented Frangipani some flowers open other just opening fill the air around them with their glorious scent. The green foliage making the perfect backdrop. Created by your artist's eye for composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

I love the colouring in this image, they seem to work together In a beautiful way, and the artist using digital brushes has really made it look like a real oil painting, simply food for the eye balls, well done.
best wishes

This is beautiful. Only after looking closer and closer I realize that it is a painting. Its precision is like a photograph. Coloring and texturizing are delightful.

Well done and thanks for sharing.

I wish I had a 6 left for this painting - I had such a tree and you really did a handsome job on accuracy of the blooms, buds and leaves - I also love how you placed the scene in your frame

very harmonious, soft and genuine colors - as digital painting it has a high quality as it looks like a photograph - well framed and well composed

your technical skills strike in details and perfect shadow and light application - a very nice creation, all the best for the contest

I had never known this flower until we moved to Thailand. Thank you very much for your artist's notes and educating me.

This impressionist artwork reminded me instantly of Paul Gauguin. As you know, part of the creative process in any type of art is the inclusion of a suitable title. In Photo Exhibitions and gallery showings the title can make or break a sale and I just wanted to tell you your title is unshakable...good!

I like the detail of your work showing the leaves and stems as well as the colours of the flowers. Your dimensional proportions are well done, a part of me wants to crop at the left, it feels unbalanced. If you take the crop to the point of injection of the stem, the focus would be more on the flowers....try it, see if you like it better too.

Something my art teacher always talked about to me was tonal contrasts and you have that here in a nice balance .

I hope you do well in the August contest....

    Thank you very much!
I know what you mean, part of me was thinking of cropping too, but my other half said know. I tried the crop actually after reading your comments, but somehow the balance between the pastels of the flowers and the darker green seemed off to me. The light wasn't right anymore in my mind. To me it seems that the focal is more on the flowers in the current version of the painting. Cropped the flowers seem to jump on me, not cropped my eyes are drawn to them. Now that is a question of what one likes better. I like to be drawn rather than pushed into, but I know that might not be in fashion in modern times.

You make yourself sound like a dinosaur....old, you're not. Some of us want to be pushed others drawn into....it's subjective isn't it.....also depends how we feel that day I suppose.
