This is indeed a sweet expressive capture of a dog and it's owner. You captured both the pug and the girl well and the look in the sweet Pug's eye draws us in and pulls at our heart strings.
All dog owners know and cherish that look.

An interesting and intriguing picture. It is obvious about expression. I see the deeper love of the dog. The dog gives the lady joy, but the lady gives the dog life. It is understandable that the dog loves (thanks) more...

I was reading your notes, and fully agree. I have never understood how some people can be so cruel. It is however easy to see that this dog has a good life by the affection it is showing for the girl. You have captured such fine expressions both in the dog's and the girl's face.
Your photo is also nice and sharp showing such clear and well defined details all over, and the exposure is perfect.
I like the close and personal approach and the tight framing, and the two of them have got a fine placement within the frame. A truly beautiful and well taken photo, and I wish you luck with the contest.
