Mary,
A beautiful picture of the Australian Bustard striding through the long grass head up eyes peeled as it watches you closely. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

A superb shot that shows the bird in its normal behavior and in a setting that is appropriate. The colors are excellent and the detail in the eye and crest are outstanding.

Can't say I have ever seen or heard of this bird before! Judging from your notes I expect you had to react very quickly to get this photo? Despite this, its a fine shot with good composition and exposure and the sharpness is reasonable, well done!

very interesting bird, very good composition, leaving room for the bird to run, like the colors and details and depth, a pleasure to look at. Thank you for sharing. dale

Very interesting. About to be camouflaged in the deeper grass, I believe. Nice work catching this moving creature. I like the way the colors blend in with the backdrop of the foliage. I also like the lines of the birds neck echoed by the tall stalks in the background and grasses in the foreground. Good work bringing everything together.

This is a great photo of this bird. It is similar in appearance to the American Roadrunner. The placement of the bird in the frame is well done and the focus is surprisingly sharp for a moving target. Very well done ~ Steve
