nice capture of the full sun, but the photo looks a bit unbalanced, too much sky and too little pier with does not have any detail

The pier is actually a construction of a remodel of a library. Shooting any lower would not have been pretty and I really wanted the dunk shot and the colors in the sky. Thanks for reviewing.

Fun shot. I have seen moon shots tied to interesting objects for effect. The layers of color about the sun are dramatic and so lovely. The structure catching the sunset is the perfect container for the effect you were going for. Great fun.

Boy, did you have to be in the right spot at exactly the right moment to get this shot! Way to go!
Lovely lovely sky....those soft pastel colors are gorgeous. I like that you cropped out tree branches....much more powerful photo this way. Before I forget glad you said sunrise as for some reason looking at it I thought it was a sunset.
Exposure is excellent and the vertical crop is good (might not have thought of that myself w/ this photo but I do like it) Focus seems just a tad soft to me....not so much the sun but the pier. Could be me though....not 100% sure so full points and best of luck in the contest Grace. It's a wonderfully put together shot.

LOL!! The pier is actually construction of the top of a library remodel behind my house. I had to move quickly to get the dunk shot. Thank you very much :)
