The main issue that I have with this image is that the mushrooms have both areas of in and out of focus that make no sense. This one should have been taken using a tripod and a small aperture to obtain good overall sharpness. From a composition view, the mushrooms mimic the rectangular shape of the frame which does not bode well in this image.
Good color although would like to see a bit more detail in the shadow.

Well I love mushrooms, and the three here, i feel would have been better in a different colored dish, the fact that you photographed these mushrooms, is awesome. there's a lot of shading within and around the bowl. It looks like their in a little nest... Very nice...

I am not familiar with the title of the contest but can guess what it means! Your macro shot presented here has an almost basic, country look about it. Your exposure is fine and I like how the sharpness drifts off towards the bottom right hand corner. Well done and good luck!

a good contest entry,
but I think the major media has made the subjects to have a blur to them, as well as cut marks like the bowl.
I like your try for a close up but would like to see the whole bowl.
