Nice painting; love the purple and green and yes the bit brightness in the middle; may be too much purple and not enough orange/yellow. Good strokes; nice lines; thanks for sharing.

Aptly captured for the contest theme... An artistic rendition. Monochromatic subject colors with great highlights. I'd consider golden yellow as petal outline/border...to give contrast to the verdant backdrop...just a friendly suggestion.
