I like this green bug,,against the yellow center of this rose,,beautiful presentation, your focus is bang on for the flower petals, center and the insect. love the identification of this beetle as well

Good luck in the Contest...
When they are mating they can "Sick" together for over one hour! I watched a pair in the Park as I walked with Juno. We did five circuits of the park..IE one mile (Juno did much more) & they were still at it when we left

This is a nice photo. Your focus on the bug is spot on. Your crop is excellent, I like the diagonal line of the bug. Your colors are vivid but not oversaturated. I wonder if a bit of dodging on the lower part of the bugs body might bring out more of shine and make him pop more?
