very grand and beautiful scenery captured. the sky is most expressive and so is the amazing and detailed rock formations. excellent use of a framed composition.

This is an interesting view. I really like the foreground color and textures. The sky has a great curve to it and flattering clouds.

Glad you enjoyed the shot and thanks for your review!

Nicely positioned shot with great depth. cropped well and good color. Focus is okay but if the Three Sisters Peaks are the prime focus of this piece then would have cropped out 1/2 of the lower portion of the picture and drawn them in more (reason for 5 and not a 6). Thanks for sharing and HAGD.

Oh my gosh, what an absolutely stellar image. The lighting in both the sky and over the land is wonderful. Great detail over the entire frame. It is of course your angle to the shot that has me grandly captivated. Wonderful image. Thanks for sharing.

Wow..You do such a great job with these landscapes. I enjoy traveling to these places in my mind. It is easy to do with your quality of photos.
Your colors are natural as is your hazy light in the distance. Your sky is peppered with typical clouds and your textures in your rolling valley floor is a good lead in to your monument. Your perspective is excellent. Your have a bit of diagonal line to bread the repeated pattern and space of the valley floor. And your horizon curves with the expanse of this scene..making the term valley apply. Thanks for sharing. A pleasure to view.

A very nice image. I like the expanse of desert in the foreground but think there is a bit too much sky. The colors are excellent and the details outstanding.

interesting capture. I think that's were the vultures hang out at..wink. the clarity is great. the capture of the light is great. the angle of the shot of the rugged terrain, mountains and to skinny (what I call it) rock post is great. the image is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. good eye and great job overall

When looking at this image - what stands out to me is the striking contrast not only in color, but in texture. I'm noting a bit of a circular feel (did you use a fish-eye lens?). Regardless, I find this to be a very appealing and interesting image.

Your kind review is appreciated! As I recall I used a wide-angled lens.

Very nice composition. The technique is called near/far.
The foreground features are sharp. This draws the attention of the viewer, and then the eyes move to the interesting background. This gives the feeling of depth. Very well done.
Just a couple of suggestions. If you have a filter called "dehaze" in photoshop (it is in CC). You could use that to get a little more clarity and saturation to the mountains. Also, I would be tempted to reduce the hot spot in the upper left in the clouds.
All, fwiw, but a fine images anyway.
