Very cool capture - love the placement in the frame. Immediately I feel like I am looking at a princely figure. Seems he has a crown! Great detail over this image with wonderful natural color and fabulous lighting. Love it. Thanks for sharing.

I've never seen a bird in this position, so thank you! What a dramatic photo! The unusual feathers, coupled with the bird solemn eye expression, make this a winner!

Fantastic composition but what I would like to see is more saturation in the head feathers and red in the top fatherland a color that would bring out the eyes. But it is cropped well. Great image!

Hi Eileen,
When I saw the title for this incredible shot I didn't have to guess what you were thinking. LOL The title fits SO perfectly to the image. As far as the image goes I love the clarity, brightness and how you got in nice and tight. It's a magnificent shot that would draw the viewer in title or not!
Nicely Done! :o) Helvi

Looks like an image well worthy of a 6 to me! Your full and frontal composition does a great job of showing off this magnificent bird. The image is very sharp and the exposure first class. I am though just a little confused after reading your notes! Was it floating when you took this shot? Great photo!

a cyber six Eileen for this fantastic close up of the ugly pelican; outstanding sharp focus and details in the feathers; it could have been an obvious winner of any contest;

Well I would certainly not think that in any way, shape or form. But I do appreciate your nice review.

And do they sleep with their eyes open? A superb shot that does indeed look like he is conjuring up his dracula alterego. A superb pose with excellent colors and fine details.

This is much better then crater head. Better dof, good lighting, color and texture on the head. The eyes appear a bit blue. Never have seen a stork. Nice work and thanks for sharing.

That is what I call flexible. The details are amazing. The lighting could not be any better for presenting these minute details of the feathers. Bow in his hair and a spiky haircut with a handsome cape, he is ready for a night out.
