Great capture Fred! You have fine clarity, controlled exposure, great details and nice colors.
Not easy shooting under water, but you did a fine job. Notes were informative and add to our viewing pleasure of this Clam.

very nice photo. I know how hard underwater pics are to get in good focus.Amazing job on this one. Great detail and can almost feel movement in the water. Great color balance and just enough background to keep the viewer focused on the subject. Nice job!

how big is it? Love the glasssss-like creature, the dark almost translucent look. the light green, practically yellow, plants around the shell help show the giant center of their universe. Composition is good with nice open space in upper right hand corner.

Fascinating sg!! Really wonderful notes w/ your post here.

Really good crisp sharp focus here. Your clam is amazingly well detailed showing one of the valves even....and love the in situ presentation although w/ the size of this guy that may be the safest way to show him. Nice natural color w/ good exposure throughout.

Great shot sg....not something we ever see here on FAR.

Nice shot. The notes are so interesting and I have a new perceptive on these critters. The fairly crisp shot is full of interesting detail. His shell is almost camouflaged sitting within the group of sea plants. Like the aqua blue colors.

a very interesting Tridacna gigas clam.
supergold. as I enjoy the underwater shot as the clarity gives it a great look as it seems to be nestled in with coral to stay away from predators.
as I like your story giving it history and it's details. as it may make a good soup or bait. thank you for sharing.
always,
ron

What a lovely shot this is. It amazes me how it can be in such great focus under water but it sure is. Beautiful surroundings and lighting is great. You framed it perfectly. Great shot sir!
